Doc’s 70th Birthday Bash

Doc Heide, beloved local performer and co-founder of Northern Sky Theater, writes powerful songs that made him a Kerrville New Folk Finalist and have led critics to compare his writing to Bob Dylan and Warren Zevon. Come help celebrate his 70th birthday with this once-in-a-lifetime concert of his songs sung by talented friends from around the nation. Featured artists include Lee Becker, Amy Chaffee, Deb Fett, Laurie Flanigan-Hegge, Lachrisa Grandberry, Jeff Herbst, Jimmy Kaplan, Dan Klarer, Steve Koehler, Craig Konowalski, Eric Lewis, Karen Mal, Tim McNurlen, Paul Sowinski, James Valcq, Matt Zembrowski, and other special guests. The concert, in the style of his sold-out DCA event in 2013, will also be a release party for Tangled in Wonder, a book of over 50 of his songs including lyrics, chords, and personal reflections. A free cupcake for everyone!
