While it would be easy to assume the world’s loneliness problem is the result of the COVID-19 pandemic, experiences of loneliness and a lack of social support have been increasing for the last decade. Feelings of loneliness have significant consequences at both individual and societal levels. The four panelists reflect different disciplinary perspectives (Performing Arts, Political Science, Psychology, and Writing) and will share their thoughts on both the consequences of and solutions to loneliness.
