Pre-Season Event: Amythyst Kiah
Friday, May 13 @ 7:00 pm

Co-presented with Write On, Door County
Date: Friday, May 13, 2022 | Time: 7 p.m.
Tickets: $30/$40/$55
Event update: Allison Russell will not perform at DCA on May 13th due to her participation in the Juno awards. Amythyst Kiah will now perform a full solo show as originally planned.
Shifting our thinking in this way, made us decide to dedicate Amythyst Kiah’s concert as a fundraising event for Ukraine relief efforts. All ticket sales—above and beyond the artist’s fee—will be donated to Razom, a GuideStar Gold rated non-profit organization providing critical humanitarian war relief and recovery depending on the most urgent needs as they evolve.
Rolling Stone calls Amythyst Kiah “one of Americana’s great up-and-coming secrets.” With an unforgettable voice that’s both unfettered and exquisitely controlled, the Tennessee-bred singer/songwriter expands on the uncompromising artistry she most recently revealed as part of Our Native Daughters—an all-women-of-color supergroup whose Kiah-penned standout “Black Myself” earned a Grammy Award nomination for Best American Roots Song and won Song of the Year at the 2019 Folk Alliance International Awards. Kiah’s singing, songwriting, and guitar work are raw yet nuanced examinations of grief, alienation, and the hard-won triumph of total self-acceptance.
