A singer, composer, and actor, Lyle Lovett has broadened the definition of American music in a career that boasts 14 albums recorded and more than four million records sold. Coupled with his uncanny gift for storytelling, the Texas-based Lovett fuses elements of country, swing, jazz, folk, gospel, and blues, breaking down the conventions and barriers in his path. His hits include “If I Had a Boat,” “She’s No Lady,” and “My Baby Don’t Tolerate.” Lovett returns by popular demand once more to DCA, where he will hoot, rock, and rollick with his renowned Large Band.
