Between the Lines is an empowering and enchanting new musical for any of us seeking to find our place in the world. An outsider in a new school, Delilah seeks comfort in the pages of her favorite book, where she feels heard and understood. But as the lines between the two worlds of reality and fantasy begin to blur in extraordinary and astonishing ways, Delilah has to confront whether she alone has the power to rewrite her own story and still pursue her dreams.
“Live the story you want, if it’s not the story you’re in.” Between the Lines offers audiences and performers the chance to indulge a fantasy to engage with fictional characters from a story we love and have them literally come to life by leaping off the page. This romantic comedy has a hilarious and heartwarming book matched with a brilliant score.
Based on the novel by international bestselling author Jody Picoult and her daughter Samantha Van Leers. Book by Jodi Picoult and Timothy Allen McDonald with musical score by Elyssa Samsel and Kate Anderson.
