JUST ANNOUNCED!
Door Community Auditorium (DCA) is having a record year for ticket sales, and the season hasn’t even begun yet. Still, that didn’t prevent DCA from adding another stellar act to its already jam-packed lineup: multi-platinum country music sensation Josh Turner. Turner will bring his rich bass-baritone voice and many hit songs to the DCA stage on Thursday, June 25.
Multi-platinum MCA Nashville recording artist Josh Turner is one of country music’s most recognizable hit-makers. At age 37, he’s one of the youngest members of the Grand Ole Opry. With a rich, deep voice and distinctive guitar style, Turner has sold more than 12 million recordings.
The New York Times says Turner has “a bass-baritone voice of great beauty and skill… balanced and alert; the notes come deep and grainy, almost the sound of bow on strings.”
From his 2003 Platinum-selling debut “Long Black Train” to his most recent 2012 Billboard No. 1 release “Punching Bag”, Turner has garnered multiple Grammy, CMA, and ACM nominations. Turner’s hits include “Your Man,” “Why Don’t We Just Dance,” “Firecracker,” “Would You Go with Me,” “All Over Me,” and “Time Is Love,” the most played country song of 2012.
Josh Turner will perform at DCA at 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 25. Tickets go on-sale for DCA VIP’s via walk up or phone on June 1 and 2, and to the General Public and on the internet beginning June 3. Ticket prices range from $54-$78.
The DCA box office is open Monday-Friday, 12-5 p.m. Tickets for all DCA shows can be purchased in person, on the phone at (920) 868-2728, or online at www.dcauditorium.org.
