Celebrating Our Rich History

Door Community Auditorium is a testament to the power of community and the generosity of the 1,200+ donors whose names grace our walls. Nestled within Gibraltar School, our venue has a stellar reputation for artistic and cultural events.

Since 1991, we have hosted unforgettable performances by legends as well as rising stars, community theatre, regional icons, community and student performances, and diverse cultural groups, including Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Indigo Girls, Peninsula Music Festival, The Lumineers, and Brandi Carlile.

Cari Lewis

Executive Director

Cari Lewis is a mom, wife, believer in love and music, and admirer of trees and shiny old people. The executive director of Door Community Auditorium since late 2010, Cari’s path started in the Ozarks (she was the 1991 Hootin’ n’ Hollarin’ Queen); before meandering to Michigan’s Interlochen Arts Academy (where she studied trumpet and later returned to work in their alumni office); Ohio’s Baldwin-Wallace College (where she rose to prominence as an excellent coffee slinger and mediocre basement crooner while completing her arts management degree); Cleveland Opera (where she sold and coordinated children’s opera productions); and southern Oregon’s Ross Ragland Theater (where she got her first management role with a performing arts center).

Pam Goodwill

Office Manager

In February of 2019, I began as a part-time Box-Office Assistant helping our patrons with their ticket orders, until the Office Manager position opened up in 2020 (which is more my past employment experience). I have found it a pleasure assisting our patrons with their ticket orders to see their favorite artists at their favorite venue Door Community Auditorium in their favorite Destination of Door County.

Kurt Thomas

Technical Director

Kurt started at The Door Community Auditorium as a volunteer since the beginning. In 1998 he was hired as the Assistant Technical Director and in 2010 became the Technical Director. Some of Kurt’s favorite acts that have been here are: Johnny Cash, Ray Charles, Victor Borge, Willie Nelson, Joan Baez, John Prine, John Hiatt, Jackson Browne, and many more. Also, who doesn’t love Mavis?

Nick Hoover

Box Office Manager

Nick’s time with DCA began in 2016, assisting Technical Director Kurt Thomas, setting up microphones and running cables, something he is well versed in through his work as a performing musician. His involvement has grown steadily over time, evolving into his role today as Box Office Manager and Production Assistant, in addition to being a member of the DCA Programming Committee.
In his spare time, the Door County native enjoys singing and playing music, tinkering with his car and computers, and finding himself the woods.

Priscilla Dias Hill

Marketing and Production Manager

Priscilla Dias Hill, originally from Recife, Brazil, moved to the US in 2000 and earned a BA in electronic design and multimedia from the City University of New York, City College. With over fifteen years of experience in the marketing and design industry across major markets, she loves connecting with people from different backgrounds worldwide. She met her husband Rian (a Door County local) in New York, later moving to Chicago, and then to Brazil for two transformative years where their daughter was born. Passionate about travel, diverse cultures, languages, exercise, food, and wine, Priscilla brings a wealth of creative experiences—from small businesses to Fortune Global 100 accounts—to her current role as the Marketing and Production Manager at Door Community Auditorium. Since 2018, Door County has been home to Priscilla, her husband, their two children, Lila and Arlo, and their dog Millie, where they continue to embrace life’s adventures.

Vinni Chomeu

FOG Coordinator

Vinni Chomeau is the Experiential Education Project Coordinator for grades 4K - 12 with Friends of Gibraltar Schools, a founding board member of Write On, Door County, a County and Town Board elected representative with an educational background in experiential environmental education and environmental science and policy.
