Volunteer During a Performance

Our volunteers ensure every performance runs smoothly and our patrons will have a memorable experience.

  • Place program insert in playbill books before the show begins, greet and seat patrons, distribute playbill books with seating, assist with emergency procedures as needed, prevent patrons from going backstage unless invited, and assist with miscellaneous duties as assigned.

  • Prepare coffee, serve beverages and snacks during intermission, and clean-up following intermission.

  • Direct traffic in the parking lot for one hour prior to the performance and for 10 minutes after the show has begun.

  • Assist with merchandise sales prior to the performance, during intermission, and following the show, and close out the sales balance at the conclusion of event.

  • Load in/load out equipment, help with security, and perform miscellaneous backstage duties.

  • Give pre-purchased tickets to patrons as they arrive.

Volunteer During a Special Event

Your skills help make our special events and ongoing operations seamless. We host many performances and events throughout the year, and volunteers help make these activities successful.

  • Posters, rack cards, and brochures publicizing Door Community Auditorium events and programming are distributed to commercial establishments throughout the area. We need volunteers to drop-off marketing collateral throughout Door County and follow-up regularly to ensure materials are current.

  • Volunteers help with planting and watering flowers, weeding, and other basic gardening tasks to keep our grounds looking beautiful.
